GujRERA is seeking precedents from the state’s R&B department regarding extensions for government civil works due to the West Asia crisis. This comes as real estate associations, citing rising input costs and supply uncertainty, have formally requested a six-month extension for ongoing projects under force majeure provisions.

Punjab RERA ruled that project timelines for homebuyers must be counted from the initial booking date, not the sale agreement execution. This decision mandates a real estate promoter to pay approximately Rs 25 lakh in delay interest to PEC faculty members, reinforcing homebuyers’ rights from the date of booking and payment.

UP-RERA has asked banks and financial institutions to follow revised operational guidelines for RERA-registered project accounts, including a mandatory three-account system, restrictions on liens, tighter withdrawal norms and quarterly disclosures of project finance. During his three-year tenure, Satyanarayana focused on transparency and homebuyer protection. The Authority registered thousands of projects and agents, significantly improving grievance redressal and regulatory implementation across Telangana.

UP-RERA has approved 13 real estate projects across eight districts of Uttar Pradesh with a cumulative investment of ₹3,052.73 crore and 4,772 proposed residential and commercial units. The authority has also asked homebuyers and complainants to use its online portal to verify project details, track complaint status and check recovery certificate proceedings before making purchase or legal decisions.

The clarification was issued by HPRERA Chairperson RD Dhiman in response to queries raised by the Housing Department regarding housing projects executed under Joint Development Agreements (JDAs).
